Hi, wondering if anyone can help?

I started a works contract for 18 months had my p45 as well as my maternity pay after the finishing date due to being met in the criteria. However, as I had lost my baby during the first week of birth, i am now going into full time employment with another company. Will this affect my maternity pay with the previous company even though I’ve already been given a P45 slip beforehand?

m many thanks

I believe you will lose your entitlement to the SMP element of your maternity pay.

I’m sorry for your loss x

So sorry for your loss.

Are you looking to go back to that organisation? You will need to end your maternity leave as you may owe your employer money.

No it’s a new employer but already had my P45 slip from the other company as my contract ended before my maternity
