Self assessment online, has anyone failed t get it done?

I very nearly did. I've spent days trying to sort out this one prob it kept throwing up after attempting a submission, which was not helped by the hours spend on the phone, mostly waiting to speak to someone! Then the connection seemed to hang for a good 40 mins before going through!
Had small impulse to kiss the screen but as I feel the flue coming on I think I'll just go to bed

They've extended the deadline because of all the trouble with their website. Only by a few days though

Still $%&*%$%^& trying..... They extended till midnight tonight, still can't get on. Now there is a message saying they will continue to extend as long as it is their fault. When I spoke to the helpline tonight they said you must keep trying but as long as you file within a reasonable time you will not have to pay. Penalty notices will be automatically issued for anyone who didn't file in time but we just have to phone and explain - no waste of money there then GRRRRRR..... I'm assuming that her Majestys government are however happy I sleep so am trying one more time before giving up! Good Luck!! x

Don't stress yourself, if you can get it in fine, if not just note the times you tried. pointless trying to phone them because you will just be kept on hold. Write them a short letter and keep a copy, and I can assure you that they will just have to accept that it is their fault.
