Working for NHS

Hi guys. I have a question regarding the maternity policy whilst working for the NHS in Wales. I am aware that I have to go back to work for a certain amount of time after my maternity ends or I will have to pay back my maternity pay. I am wondering if I have to go back to the area I am already working or would I be able to apply for the same job in a different area that's is still within the same health board and same hospital?
Thank you in advance!

If it's for the same employer i.e same health board, then it's still classed as continuous service, so shouldn't be a problem, but you can check with HR before accepting the new post.

It can be the same or a different NHS employer. As long as you start a new role within 15 months of the start of your maternity leave. The list of NHS employers is in Annex 1-3 of the handbook (www.nhsemployers.org/publications/tchandbook) Have put the wording at the bottom of the post

good luck😊

As far as I am aware it is just any NHS employer. Good luck!
