Hi

I have been offered a job to start next week. Can the jobcentre help me with travel fares and a clothing grant. I have been unemployed since May this year

They used to do this but I think they have a much tighter budget now. It is worth asking your job coach, stick a note on your journal and good luck :)

Yes they can. But may be too late for the clothing as it has to be ordered for delivery to the store (Matalan usually). Worth asking for an appointment to come in and sort out, especially for the travel. They need to see proof of the job offer/contract
