Calculating additional leave entitlement

lisacj147 · 01/12/2022 12:10

Hi all, please could anyone help. I officially work 4 days per week but invariably work 5 so have accrued additional leave over the course of this year. I am entitled to a full time allowance of 25 days (plus bank holidays) which pro rata is of course 20 days. However, this year I have worked an additional 41 days.
Please could anyone advise how many additional days leave this equates to. I think it is 2.78 but just want to check.
Thanks in advance. 😊

Please can you be more specific e,g. Contractual Full time weekly and daily hours, your contractual weekly and daily hours.

How many extra days/hours have you worked.

Which days do you work e.g. Mon -Thursday etc.

I think you should get an extra 4 days annual leave (well, 3.94 but as an employer, I'd round it up). You may also be entitled to some additional hours for bank holidays, assuming that you have only had the pro rata equivalent so far for the days that you're contracted to work.

I'm assuming an equal number of hours worked each day.

I made it 3.94 too, glad someone else got the same!

Yes I would say its 41/52*5=3.94

Thank you everyone and apologies for the delay in reply. So I officially work Mon to Thurs 9 to 5.30 so the extra days worked have always been a full day on a Friday. So ignoring bank holidays, the consensus is I have accrued an additional 3.94 days?

thanks again
