Please could someone help me with this situation.

I line mange and supervisor for my floor . There are only 4 of us so there is always an issue with who does what and when but it’s not a big deal and things get done. However today a staff member was quite loud and rude so suggested we meet up in office.

staff became extremely agitated and started talking over me so I decided to take time off and suggested we take a brake and meet after lunch. During this time they contacted my line manger and has emailed other team that they are not happy with me and refuse to be supervised by me.

i don’t understand how this is allowed that a member of the team emails everyone, contacts my line manger and refusing to reply to my email. I feel humiliated because they have emailed everyone.

This is now in the hands of your line manager. You really need to speak to them about how you feel about this. It is certainly their right to go to your line manager if they are unhappy with you. They probably shouldn't have discussed it with others, but that's for your line manager to determine and deal with.

On a general basis, if someone is unhappy with you then they have a right to say so. You will have to learn to deal with that - whether you are right or wrong, you cannot take disagreement personally.

Thank you Quveas.
Do you think it’s a good idea to send a reply email to the group? I am thinking to reply to the individual and cc line manager with details we discussed.

No. You do not reply. You speak to your line manager. Take their guidance. Getting pulled into tit for tat e-mails doesn't reflect well on you at work.

Quveas thank you so much. My manager spoke with me today and have sent an email to everyone supporting my decision.

It's very unprofessional behaviour. As a manager I would not engage with it at this point and would leave it with your line manager to address, which it sounds like they have.
