Micromanaging Director

Hi all,

I work in the sales sector and the company is going completely bust. It's a tiny company with 4 staff and since I've been here, the staff turnover has been horrendous. We've lost 6 staff in 5 months and now I'm the only 'sales' consultant working. I've put up with a lot of shit at this firm, my job title has been changed twice and now I'm doing a completely different role that I was employed to do but it pays well. Anyway, the boss/director is a huge micromanager, I mean checking everything I do every single day. I have to send a handover of what I've done that day and explain why it hasn't been completed etc. I can't put into words how horrendous this job is, not only this, she also constantly belittles people and she's incredibly hot headed.

I've requested to work from home one a week, which originally I was employed to WFH twice a week but obviously this has also been changed too. Anyway, I keep getting emails slaughtering me for forgetting to add things to the system and I'm so overworked due to lack of staff it's unbearable. I'm getting so so fed up but I'm struggling to find another job, so how do I politely say 'fuck off' and leave me to my job?

Just reply 'I'm working it through' every time she ask for an update.

Seriously though you'll have to leave.

I had a micromanage ( more of a taker -over actually so I'd start things my way and she'd change it all. It nearly killed me.

I had a micromanaging manager I ended up taking a grievance out against.

Some people love the micro processes of going through a day's work. Adults prefer autonomy...
