Getting desperate now!

Still no luck with the job front, but now Im wondering would it be worth me going back full time? I dont really want to but money is getting worse and worse, and Im so afraid that the bank are going to reject my payment for my rent this month as I dont have enough money in the bank! I wanted to go back part time, do 5 afternoons a week preferably so it wasnt so much of a shock for dd (and me) as she is extremely clingy and it will give her a chance to start going to nursery and meeting new kids. She doesnt interact with a lot of children. But is it worth me trying to get a full time job rather than trying to apply for part time work? Would it benefit me, as I rent and have bills to pay, as well as petrol for the car now. I also got to start saving for tax and insurance next year which doesnt look like its going to happen any time soon (saving that is)

I'm getting all confused with Tammy's! Are you the same TammylovesChristmas (of infamous Bulger thread fame) or are you Tammybear?!

thought so What would you do with dd if you worked fulltime?

tammyBEARinggifts · 01/12/2004 15:21

well dd's on a waiting list at the moment on a nursery, and i just need to say to them i would like to work these hours, can you have dd for those times, and if they can, theyll have her, if not have to look elsewhere.

you have to work out whether the amount you would get paid would cover all dd's childcare and leave you with enough left over to make it worthwhile, and if dd's really clingy going straight into full time work might be a bit hard on you both.

tammyBEARinggifts · 01/12/2004 15:27

thats what i thought bean. i dont want to throw us both in the deep end, but ive been applying for p/t jobs after p/t jobs and im just not getting anywhere. ive got experience as an admin assistant, which is what i want to sort of do now. i could kick myself, because i turned down a job back in the summer, and wish i bloody hadnt now!

If you apply for full time jobs there's nothing to say that you have to accept them when they are offered to you. Maybe you could apply for some and then see how you feel.

I was just about to suggest temping but then I realised that would be difficult to organise childcare for. It's a tough one, I'm sure something will work out though

i hope so, feel like changing my name to tammybearingnogiftscoscantaffordit!!
