How long do HR/employment records get kept?

Hi,

Had a strange one with blind recruitment (applied to an old ex employer who use it) it is just making me ask how long do HR records get kept for? I always thought for some reason around 6 years was the normal?

(HR department has changed and there has been an office move since I last worked for them in 2014 but I've had the same name since I worked for them)

Some stuff is deleted on termination of employment

Sone gets kept for 6 months, some for 6 years and some until you turn 70 or die.

Many thanks I'm just curious with a possible interview back at ex.employers - they are not making a thing of it so I guess I may be overthinking it and my name had been long forgotten (here's really hoping) everyone I worked closely with at time has departed company except the CEO and a few key members.

Whilst it is some time ago, I fully submitted them on my CV at time of application, so I've not omitted anything but on submission it came about they did some kind of version of blind recruitment / I was left really unsure what they do see as much as that sounds stupid and I've had a conversation with current HR who didn't seem to acknowledge this past chapter so just thrown me a bit, for sure the conversation didn't go the way I thought it might and has me wondering if I am in for a deservedly challenging interview or whether genuinely so much time has passed and a lot of the work force having changed, they really aren't so fussed.
