Does this happen everywhere?

I'm a few weeks into my notice period and despite nobody really giving a shit about my role or the work I do for approximately 2 years, one of the reasons I am leaving to be honest, senior management suddenly care and are throwing tasks at me from every direction. Fine, within reason, as I only have a few weeks to go but some of these tasks are huge.

Just want a moan really as I have had next to no support for so long and now suddenly my department (which consists of only me) seems to be the top of the agenda and everyone is enthusiastic about it despite when I originally tried to complete the tasks the emails going without a response.

Yes, they suddenly want their money's worth out of you.

Undertheoldlindentree · 15/11/2022 08:32

Annoying though!

I'm fully prepared to work but fuck me it is massively annoying when people suddenly decide they want to look like they care about what you do when there has been zero communication for so long.

Person in question has form for not turning up at important meetings with eternal personnel and making up excuses as to why they can't do something within the scope of their role.

Start pushing back - only got x days and can only do abc.

Yes, I have started sowing the seeds to push back. A very long 3 months.
