Which role would you choose?

Hi all,
Just thought I would get advice, I recently went for 2 new roles, one with a company(CN1) I thought I wanted to work for as my number one choice and one with a different company(CN2). I have gone all the way through to offers for both and I am considering choosing the other companies offer(CN2). Both roles are operational IT analyst roles, the company I admired (CN1) didn't treat me brilliantly during the interview process, took ages to get back to me, didn't interact much or answer questions etc but it is a very reputable company I've admired for a long time. The other company (CN2) I hadn't heard of however researching them our values align and the role seems to encourage development. Both pay mid 30's and both are situated within my city equal distances. CN1 is a large organisation working within the energy sector, CN2 is a smaller company and is less than 30 years old. CN1 cannot sell or expand their product further than their area they govern, CN2 has great market options in terms of sale opportunities and if developed right could go global. CN1 I know various people who work there that love their jobs, CN2 I don't know anyone who works there. What would you do?

Huge congratulations on your job offers! Flowers

If I were making the decision, I'd probably go for CN2

If all other factors are similar, how you'd been made to feel throughout the interview and offer process is quite telling as to what you're to expect in the future... I'm in recruitment and it's a common thing to hear that a company can't get past offer stage with their chosen candidate when candidate feedback is not great re: communication and interview conduct...

I went with CN2 and it's been, career wise, an amazing opportunity.

The smaller the company the more chance you usually can get of really stretching, and learning.

But I've definitely worked for it! Though I wouldn't change it at all as I also get absolute flexibility.

Good luck with your choice!

Hello, thanks for your advice it's really appreciated, I think you are right! Ultimately my emotions seem to have shifted and I am more inclined to go for CN2 offer of employment

Helloo, completely agree, I feel having spoken to the smaller company they have present plans of how THEY would develop ME. Rather than the organisational role where all they spoke about was how I could support them. X
