Civil Service Interview

I have an interview this week and it's strengths and experience based. I'm a civil servant and have done behaviour and experience interviews before but strengths is new to me. Any tips please on what to expect... Is it set questions? Is there anything to look out for?

If you're currently a civil servant have you looked on the CSL website? I did their online interview course recently and I'm sure they talked about strengths based questions in that. It explained the scoring and gave examples.

I have done the interview course myself but my department don't use strengths so we skipped that section ... Which is ideal!

I work in the MOD and we do bulk recruitment campaigns for policy advisors. Once candidates have accepted an offer we ask for their cv and circulate it recruiting line managers who then arrange suitability chats and make offers if they think the candidate is suitable. It can still take months for people to start due to the high levels of clearance many of our roles need. Hth
