Health protection nurse interview - help!

Hi all, have an interview for the above in a few weeks. The role entails working with COVID statistics, and doing vaccinations/promoting awareness of TB and general public health promotion.

I’m absolutely dreading the interview, I’m in a ward currently so the questions of course aren’t going to be based around ward work. Has anyone any idea what sort of questions I may be asked?!

What band? I've just had an interview for a band 7. Here's my advice -

Really look into the job spec and research it. My role is a brand new team being rolled out by NHS England so I looked into why it was needed and the stats behind it.

There is a man on YouTube called careervidz who also has a website called pass my interview where you can download a set of 20 odd questions for various banding. A lot of generic questions tend to be asked so well worth a look.

I rocked the interview despite being very nervous! Good luck

My questions were -

What is your understanding on the new service & why it's needed

A time you led a change

An aggressive patient - what would you do.

My skills to bring to the role

My strengths / weaknesses & leadership skills

Then a couple of pt based scenarios
