Is recruitment Family Friendly?

I'm a recruiter and have been for 10 years, took a gap for the kids but want to go back - I don't know if it is worth it. Are there any working parents who have returned to the world of Recruitment, has it been successful? I don't know whether it is worth it or not. Any help/advice would be amazing - I need the flexibility for life with 2 children but not sure if Recruitment has that.

From what I know of it no it isn’t but as a former recruiter you would know best

It depends if agency or in-house. In house tends to let you balance a lot more than agency.

I worked in education recruitment for 10 years and left 3.5 years ago to have my 2 children. There's absolutely no chance I would ever go back to recruitment with small children. It was hard enough getting an hour off for a Drs appointment, cant imagine trying to juggle all the toddler illnesses. Maybe it's not as bad outside of education recruitment though?

I work in HR within FE focused on recruitment and day to day bits. I find It incredibly flexible but I think it can be down to the employer. I have a toddler and it's been great as can work from home if needed, flexi where I need too. Can't complain except for the salary.
