No longer care about my career

I’ve been in my working in IT for about 14 years. My job is quite technical, I’ve really been struggling with it the last few years and I’ve no idea why.

I’ve been with my current company about 3 years. I ended up quite burnt out with my previous role and this job was everything I was looking for. I’ve got a decent salary, nice team, fully WFH and no one breathing down my neck to get stuff done. The problem is that I’ve lost all interest in the job itself. I forget stuff as soon as I’ve read it, any ambition I’ve had is all gone and I just don’t really care anymore.

I’m managing to coast along but I hate it. Every day I log on and I’m miserable. I hate being like this. I can’t really take a paycut and retrain in something else and I wouldn’t know what to do if I did.

Has anyone else had this happen? Ideally I’d like to get some kind of interest back in what I do but I just don’t know how.

What type of IT do you do? Could you move sideways? Do you have a training budget you could find something interesting to aid your career? Is it the company that you find uninteresting or the actual job?

@Boxshibe
I’m a software engineer. The product the company makes isn’t particularly interesting. I’m wondering if it’s partly this. When I try and think of what else I could do I really have no idea. Just nothing interests me about any of it anymore.
