Desperately need some advice

Hello all.

Currently work as a Food and Beveridge team leader for the National Trust. I've not really been enjoying my role for a while. I am single, pregnant and have a mortgage to cover. Assuming everything goes well at my 20 week scan, I will start maternity leave next April.
I desperately want to look for a new job. Something between 25k-30k. I'm really struggling to find anything suitable. I can't take time out to retrain, but I could always do a short course to gain a new skill.
Any suggestions or words of advice, please? I so want to build a better life.

What sort of jobs are you looking at and are they jobs you'd really like to do or just in the right income bracket?
If you can hold out until after maternity leave, you'll get the maternity benefits and life with a newborn might change your perspective on what you'd like to do and your priorities around family life.
What do you dislike about your job now?

I need to earn more to survive, if I'm honest. Also, the job is not very family friendly. At peak times I can still be there at 7.30 pm. Generally I feel like a change too, the chance to learn a new skill.

I was thinking along the lines of finance, admin, IT....

Perhaps something in a school would suit you as its family friendly, there are admin jobs and sometimes opportunities to develop in different areas of the school?
