High pace team/environment

I have seen a job advert which says it is a high pace team/environment. Would this be a stressful job? I don't want to leave a job which has periods of being fast paced to go into somewhere where it is always fast paced.

I’d say so yes, if you’re not keen on that kind of environment I wouldn’t apply

I work in a high pace environment with a high pace team. We are really open about it during the recruitment process and we try really hard to make all candidates aware of this and what it means in reality. Which is to say that it's expected that everyone works fast, works hard, all the time. No hiding places, lots of responsibility, no slopey shoulders, you can't pass the buck. If you say you're going to do something, you do it on time. If you can't, you explain why. You are responsible for your job and you work well with other people who work fast. The expectations are high from everyone, from the admin team to the CEO. we all work collaboratively, we don't waste time on unnecessary processes and there is no tip-toeing around. I love it!!

It's not for everyone. We are getting better but some people join our company and leave within a few weeks because they don't like the pace. If you have any doubts then make sure you ask lots of questions during the interview process. Ask for examples of what they mean by high pace and how they define their culture.

I would imagine so, though you could apply and find out more at interview.

I had a recruiter screen a few months back that described the company as fast paced, chaotic, you need to thrive on pressure.

Yeah, you're alright thanks!!!

I work in a fast paced team - all if our work has to be completed with 24 hours. Some workers love it, some hate it. You have to be very organised, but you walk out at the end of the day with a completely clean sheet for the following day, and nothing hangs over you while on leave which is amazing

High pace team, working on short fast paced projects, towards a common goal that fits an overall strategy = great

A load of people fire fighting because of disorder, projects getting lost in the chaos, no common goal and lots of people basically just running around like headless chickens = not great.
