How quickly do you hear back after a job interview?

I had an interview on Thursday, late afternoon. This was a final interview after getting through previous ones.

The recruiter was very positive re feedback about me, especially compared to what was mentioned re experience of other candidate.

I still haven’t heard anything, from anyone and so, am thinking I likely wasn’t successful.

How king did you wait before receiving positive news?

You can never really tell, they may still be interviewing. I’ve heard that day, also a week after. Sorry, no help

I’ve just started a new job, and it took a week for them to contact me after the interview.

Other jobs I’ve never heard back, which I think is rude.
The time has varied from 2-28 days to be honest.

It totally depends ime, every employer unless it's a school does things in their own time and there's little you can do to hurry them along

Recently I had one - interview Thursday aft. Didn't hear back till Monday. (Got it though!)

Sorry just seen that it was. I reckon you'll hear tomorrow. If not weds afternoon. Ask the recruiter to chase if you haven't heard by then.

When I'm recruiting, I try to ring people asap - same day if I can. But that's mainly because I hate telling the unsuccessful candidates no, so want to get it over and done with before I can get myself into too much of a tizz 😂

I was interviewed for a post on 26th August, told they would get back within the week. I've sent two emails since then and have actually got another job in the same organisation (NHS) who interviewed me in the morning and offered me the post that afternoon!
Still not heard from job A! It really does depend!

I would always ask when they think they'd let me know.
