Back to work - how did you cope?

I'm starting just 1 day a week till after Christmas. Is it normal to feel emotional leaving baby so much? He's 7 months old. Does it get easier?
Petrified he's going to forget me! It sounds silly writing it.
Just wondering peoples experiences with it.

Anyone? 😞

I went back 4 days when my son was 10 months. He done two days with my mum and 2 at nursery. I was DREADING it but in all honesty it wasn't as bad as I expected. It took a few weeks to settle in but I did find the day passed quite quickly after being back for a few weeks when I was able to focus on other things again. It's nice to be able to have something for yourself and feel like you have more things to talk about than just the baby as this has been your sole focus pretty much for such a long time.

Honestly it's not as bad as you think and wishing you the best of luck!
