I'm about to start a new job. I've had a bit of time off due to redundancy and a miscarriage but I am looking forward to starting. The company has a good reputation and my manager seems really lovely.
During interviews and offer stage I was told about a car allowance and hybrid working. Turns out the car allowance was a mistake, which is no problem, but now it is more days in office than initially stated, with the caveat it could be more when needed.
I have mentioned it to them but it seems, like a lot of companies, there is a bit of a blame culture there. I'm not sure if I am worrying over nothing
as I am a bit nervous to get back to work, or if it is something to keep an eye on? I know thing are subject to change but it could mean quite a bit more to spend on diesel, day care, dog walkers, etc as well a driving time (2-2.5 hours a day)
