I'd been working from home during the pandemic. I'm introverted and suffer from anxiety so it suited me very well.

I've now got to go into the office a few times a week. I've realised how shy and socially awkward I am. I think I may be coming across as being "off" with a colleague.

Any advice? I just prefer to zoom and work on my own.

You don't have to be friends with your colleagues, just doing your job & being generally polite (saying "hi" etc., basic sort of thing) is enough in my opinion. You do you, and do it with pride.
What is that colleague you are talking about like though? Do they look upset with you not engaging in conversations with them? Does it feel like they might start undermining you?
Also does your workplace allow/ tolerate wearing headphones while working? It could help you stay out of unnecessary conversations.
