Hi all, just wondering if my previous employer ( not current) has gone bust and that particular employment only makes up a very small portion of the time they want to background check, what length will they go to to get in contact with someone or will they just be happy enough with payslips to prove that I worked there?

Payslips should be more than enough!

I really hope so. I have provide my last payslip to prove there was no gap in employment but I hope they don't pull the offer if they can't get actually speak to someone

They'd be really stupid to do that. My previous company got acquired by another company and because of this speaking to someone about a reference was really hard. (The new "people" didn't know who the feck I was and could care less).

I just explained this to my new prospective employer and they were more than happy to just accept 6 months payslips along with 6 months bank statements showing my salary coming in to my account.
