Do office based roles pay more now?

Hello all
I am looking at returning to work after some time out of the workplace - four years.

I was hoping to do some home based work in project support. But I saw a headline in the Mail -
I know! - talking about how employers are struggling to fill office based positions and paying £50 an hour for PA/EA work? Some of my jobs were actually called EA but it was the wrong description in some ways.

Do these jobs exist and is any of this true? Are employers really paying extra for site based work?

I'm a bit overwhelmed by the whole thing at the moment so all thoughts welcome. Tbh I really hated working and was glad to give it up for childcare, though I always knew I'd have to go back eventually. I've done a bit of work for a friend but it's a very different atmosphere when you know someone.
