I have applied for a new role within the NHS but it would be working alongside the police so requires an Non Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV) L2 check. My problem is when I was 17 (21 years ago) I was arrested and cautioned for theft from my employer. I have never done anything since as I was so terrified and felt so ashamed that I had done that in the first place. I have since had several enhanced DBS checks that are clear but wondered if anyone knew if this would affect me being offered the position.
