NHS on-call (standby) payments

Hello,

I'm intrigued as to what the standby payment other NHS workers get for being on-call out of hours (so, say 5pm - 9am Monday to Friday and then Friday 5pm - and over the weekend - to 9am Monday morning). This is for standby only. What would you get if you were called (but not to come in) and called to attend?

I'm working at a trust which pays less for on-call than what I used to get for the same thing back in 1996. Weeks just wondered what others were offering considering providing this service takes up a vast chunk of our available time to do anything with our lives and is very restrictive.

We are practically doing it for free once tax and NI are taken off and staff are telling me payments have never increased. The trust has just been put into the 'needs improvement' group following inspection.

These would be locally agreed payments btw.
