Entry level jobs!

Hello,
Just looking for some advice really! Graduated in 2020 with a degree in HR also gaining a qualification in this area that many jobs ask for.
However since finishing uni I have been unable to get even an entry level role! I currently work as a manager in retail/hospitality and do some aspects of recruitment/people management within my role.
Getting quite deflated applying for countless jobs and hearing nothing, or going to interviews and being told they've hired people with more experience. As im 26 now, I'm starting to think I shoule give up on a Hr role and focus on pursuing my career in hospitality management? Or should I keep trying in the hope someone will give me a chance!?

No harm in exploring both options at the same time.

The problem with HR jobs is that, from places where I've worked, the HR people tend to be former entry level admin people who have then fallen into a role within HR. I don't think I've ever come across anyone in HR who has a HR degree or who has actively pursued a career in that field.

It's notoriously hard to get your first HR job, but hang in there.

Look for graduate schemes that have an HR stream or element. Civil service, local authorities, NHS or other public sector.

We've recently taken on 4 Trainees and their backgrounds range from HR Admins moving up, to HR degrees first-jobbers.
