Would you consider looking for a job if TTC?

Just wondering what other peoples thoughts are on looking for a job if trying to conceive. I am currently a SAHM to a 20 month old dd and have been thinking of going back to work part time. However over Christmas dh and I decided we were ready to try for a second child. Dh is self employed and while he is busy at the moment there are no guarantees and any money I could earn would be a help. I was thinking of a job in a large supermarket or similar so I wouldn't be in a position where a company were depending solely on me. I reckon that even if I became pregnant fairly quickly I could still work for maybe 7 months.

Go for it - don't wait around. As you know it can 1 month or 12 months to conceive. Good luck job hunting.

We're in similar situation, doesn't hurt to look around. If you do get pg early on and then do find a job I guess you just need to be honest with your employer so they know how long you'll be around.

It is worth doing if you think the extra cash will come in handy plus employer may take you back in the future, but don't forget to consider the costs of childcare to make it worthwhile, that in the end might swing your decision. Good luck!
