Hi, just wondering if anyone has any advice regarding an employment issue that is starting to become a problem for the team I'm in.
I'm going to try not to be too outing as it's probably frowned upon to discuss.
So, small team doing a very specific role within a large organisation that belongs to a larger "alliance". Our organisation is the largest within the alliance and has extra challenges because of this.
Our team is on a particular pay banding but the same job at 2 other organisations within the alliance is being advertised at a higher pay scale. Having reviewed the job description in detail, our team actually has more responsibility and is far more complex.
We plan to speak to our union, but what else can we be doing?
It seems like a mammoth task to fight our corner and without much in the way of supportive management, we are very much on our own in getting the recognition that our counterparts at the other organisations within the alliance have got.
