Redeployment and redundancy issue

Hello. I was being made redundant due to my FTC ending. My work have a redeployment scheme. Which means you apply for jobs before they're advertised externally and your pay and conditions are frozen for a year.

I got a job 2 grades below my previous job. My salary will go down by £7.5k once the year is up. I was aware of this however I took the job as I thought it would be less stressful than my old in post and I needed a job.

However I'm so unhappy in this post. I wish I took redundancy. The actual work isn't stressful but the volume of it is. I also feel really unappreciated. I'm the only person in the department with this job and work on my own with no colleagues.

Posted too soon. I have a 3 month notice period so feel trapped. What can I do? Can I still get redundancy or be released from this contract?

Forgot to say. If it was a nice job with colleagues I might accept the pay cut.but it's not

Isn't there a legal 28 day cooling off period or something? I used it when my role was deleted but chose to be redeployed. I hated the new role so took redundancy.

The previous poster is correct. You are entitled to a 4 week trial period in the new role. If you are still in that trial period you can still take redundancy.

Thank you both and much. This is really helpful. Unfortunately I've passed 1 month now
