Why do I have to still go to job centre appointment?

Wondering if anyone could shed some light on this. I’ve been working but only 4 hrs and since on universal credit I’ve been going into job centre every 2 weeks as it’s not enough hours. I’ve just been offered a 16hr position and have told the job centre but my work coach said I still need to go to my appointment. Does anyone know why? Usually I go and say what jobs I’ve applied for etc and how I’m getting on but what is the point in going if I’m no longer doing that?last year I got a temp job and the appointment closest to when I was offered the job was cancelled but it was a different work coach. It’s just annoying because it’s a 40 minute walk for me for nothing.

16 hours isn't a full time job - everyone I k ow works 37 hours plus

It's not for nothing if you receive payments

Just class it as part of your working week time

I’m not sure why but my son was asked to attend very frequently while working full time on the kickstarter scheme. I think some are auto generated.
He was able to ask for phone appointments though, which may well save your legs. Leave a note on your journal along the lines of ‘do I still need to attend now I am working?’ and ask for a phone call instead.

Cant you just sign off from UC?
I guess if they're still giving you money (are they?) then they can still want to see you.

You attend the job centre out of the other 21 hours of your working week.

I’m not required to work full time my requirement was to work at least 12.5 hours per week. I get the job element now but when I do 16hrs I won’t. I can’t work full time. It must have changed as last year I worked 16 hrs but was let go then in march I was working 12-16 hours and because it was over the 12.5 hours I wasn’t required to go.

Ds had to keep going until he started work, it's unlikely, but the job could still fall through.

Oh sorry I misread, I thought you had to go one last time. Ignore me
