Made a change and now I'm lost

Made a change from admin to maternity recently and was so proud of finally leaving my old company and making a change... but it's not quite as expected and although I love having set 9/5 hours and being in the hospital, my role is non clinical and quite isolated with people not turning up for appointments. I imagined this would be a foot in the door to eventually get into the ward and be more directly involved with women and clinical care but my DH now has to go into the office more which affects the kids pick ups and he doesn't get home until 6.30ish whereas the after school club finishes at 6pm. With this only being band 2 roles there's also the slight concern about childcare costs vs how much I'm bringing in vs impact on family but yet I was previously willing to give it a go in the hope it would bring me something I'm interested in/learn new things/job satisfaction etc. however now Im just frustrated that I had the confidence to try something new that I thought I would enjoy but the shift patterns and 13 hour days are just putting a stop to that before it's even begun and I feel like I've made a mistake now even trying for a change and taking pay cut. I don't know where my goal is anymore, I don't know which direction to aim for or what I even could do instead. I just feel a bit lost and was wondering if anyone had any similar experiences and had found their way?
