Everyone have that one colleague who just drives the team crazy. I got to work with her tommorow.
How does everyone deal with this? She management unfortunately so can't avoid her.

I left.

ScampiFlies · 09/08/2022 19:34

I'm working with her tomorrow too. I don't have any tips for you I'm afraid.
After seeing the way management have ignored it all and punished her victims I'll be working on my CV when I get home.

Babysharkdoodoodood · 09/08/2022 19:54

I've got a new job. Same organisation, but elsewhere. Less money but a better job.

And away from she who shall never be spoken about once I've moved.

Work opposite shifts.

Scorpio8 · 09/08/2022 20:39

No one likes working with her. But she won't leave and no can get rid of her either.
I don't trust my till as she steals from them. I meant she is a supervisor not manager.
As the managers can't stand her too. I can tell the store manager had enough of her he even wished me good luck for tommorow.
She such a drama queen and just got to watch my back the whole time with her.
She stresses a lot and can't cope when overwhelmed.

@ScampiFlies
Wish you good luck for tommorow.

I am dreading it and I only work part time will be praying it's busy and shift goes fast.

How they kept her this long. We all made a complaint nothing was done.

As a pp said, kill them with kindness. I'm overly friendly and happy and positive around my toxic colleague as I know they're all the things she hates! Gives me a bit of a thrill to know she's squirming.

hotfroth · 09/08/2022 21:13

Don't leave your till unattended for even a millisecond if she is anywhere within reach of it. If you have to move away from it, lock the drawer or whatever security you have - use it.

Paint an innocuous calm and serene expression on your face, and keep it there, even if it is killing you.

True

But trouble is, you then reward them. And they get even stronger.

lightand · 09/08/2022 21:16

I suspect that that is what may have already been happening at the op's place of work

do you think she has some sort of hold over them?

lightand · 09/08/2022 21:19

the one I know about, her ruse is to send legal letters.
Her life must be abominable.

Scorpio8 · 09/08/2022 22:00

@lightand

She been there years and when all the staff put their own complaint in she has ace card got herself out of it. No point us sitting with the regional manager for interviews. It was a waste of time.
Funny thing I raised concerns about her when I first started working there. My manager use to say she had a bad life..Then next thing I know he really against her.
So whatever she did to him he woke up and said enough is enough. She jealous of new staff when they start.
He can't stand her now. It's like dealing with a child.
I was warned about her and another staff member but this other one left.
I do try ignore her.

How do you know she steals money?

ColinRobinsonsfamiliar · 09/08/2022 22:26

I left.
I named her in my letter of resignation as my main reason for leaving.

I called her a cunt before leaving.
Fuck all was done.
Before and after me she was a cunt.

Scorpio8 · 09/08/2022 22:31

@EmergencyHepNeeded

I have been told she stole money.
They have no proof she quite clever how she does things.

Just an update

She seemed okay when I got to work yesterday. Acting nice and seem like she took her happy pills.

She didn't say nothing bad to me. Think she knows now won't put up with no more. She was probably faking it all.

I had a problem when a customer didn't come back so had a suspended transaction so she said she will do it.
I probably should of got her to do it. But was sure if it actually went through till get confused with this.
She told me our assistant manager was working in another store. I do have his personal number.
Our store manager was busy so I messaged him behind her back to let him know what happened. I told him don't tell her I contacted you.
I just was unsure about the transaction and he said she does need to void it off. Sometimes she refunds and stuff like that wrong. So then I explained I couldn't sign out not sure why.
He said he sort that out.
I honestly don't like having to cover my backside because she easily would drop me in it. Think because we all against her.
She had family come and talking to her this not meant to happen but she was being all nice about it. Sorry had to see what was going on with this family party. Lucky we was not busy at that time.

She just moaned about things and sometimes stresses a lot.
It's like sometimes she can't do the job. She found some mistakes and she like well going to complain to him tomorrow meaning our manager because he always moaning at me.
It actually wasn't that bad really.
I am just hoping don't need to work with her for awhile. I be seeing her today at staff meeting hope she doesn't start.

I am not happy at all.

So I contacted assistant queried if this suspended transaction has to be voided off till. He said yes she does need to do. But she didn't do it at the end of my shift.

So yesterday went in to work my store manager had been told by assistant manager what happened. But had said I didn't want her to know. My store manager let it slip I contacted our assistant manager.
She like lied saying she didn't know anything about the suspended transaction. When she did because she had a customer who didn't come back for something. I kept saying looks like your customer not coming back of this lady whom I suspended her transaction. I should have reminded her but then to lie and say she didn't know.
My till would have been down and this how she is. You got to watch her she happily try drop you in it.
Lucky my manager knows what she is like and sorted it out my till was fine.
So if I didn't cover by telling the area manager would have been told your till was down.
My manager said to me don't blame you for not trusting and actually told another please be careful with your till. She and this other colleague don't get on too.
She is worse with her and they similar ages. She gets jealous of this colleague too.
You do have to watch you back all the time with her.

I am really now don't want to work with this woman. I really don't need this extra stress right now.
