Usually either the next day or day after.

Brilliant thanks so much. It's a global company with lots of time zones to factor in but I'm
Hoping with all my heart we hear tomorrow

Fingers crossed! There's maybe a lot of people who need to 'agree' on the final candidate and that can take time.

Thank you ginger, I'm really hoping they make it quick, nothing worse than hanging on waiting on life changing news.

15 minutes after the interview which had taken place on Zoom. They had originally said I would know in a week's time as they had multiple posts and interviews to do still.

sweetlebeetle11 · 04/08/2022 16:43

That's brilliant @Madbadandusuallysad I'm sure you were so chuffed. Dh has had so many interviews this past year. This is dream job and the furthest he has gotten in any process so I'm almost sick with nerves lol

I've been offered the job on the spot once, a different job i got a phone call about a week later offering it me (which i now i think may have been because I hadn't got the job originally but the person they gave it to let them down)
Then my current job was about 3 days after my interview. Fingers crossed for your DP !

Ontobetterthings · 04/08/2022 17:41

An hour afterwards. They normally let you know that day or day after. Once candidate accepts then they get back to everyone else.

Thanks so much for all
Your helpful replies. Interview was 6pm last night with people from 3 different countries so time zone will play a big part but I'm hoping he'll hear tomorrow, they had said that he might hear by Friday but it will depend on how things go internally.

One job I had offered 10min after interview. My dream job (still working there) took 8 days for the offer to come! So anything can happen :)

FinallyHere · 04/08/2022 21:53

In the car on the way home, a thirty minute journey. I was very pleased and accepted on the spot. Probably a mistake, as once you have the offer, you are in the strongest position to negotiate.

Username0308 · 04/08/2022 22:01

Varies really depending on when they want someone to start, how desperate they are, how many more candidates they have to interview/consider etc.

Shortest time I had to wait was no time at all, I was offered the job on the spot.

The longest time I had to wait was 3 weeks, as I was the first candidate they interviewed in a 2 week schedule of interviews.

Blackdiame · 04/08/2022 22:06

I had 2 interviews the same day. One company offered me the job the next morning. The other offered me job 2 days after that.

ivfbabymomma1 · 04/08/2022 22:12

I had my interview on a Thursday and they told me Friday afternoon!
