Advanced Nurse Practitioner - who has done the MSc

I'm currently working in a band 7 role that requires me to do quite a lot of nurse practitioner work but without the actual qualification to back me up. I come from a critical care background so I have a good knowledge base but I know I would really benefit from undertaking the ANP course.

For those who have done it part time, how long did it take to complete the full Msc?

Main reason for asking is that I am looking at moving overseas in 3-4 years time and to practice in that country with a qualification gained in another country I'm being told I would need to have completed the full Msc and it won't be enough to exit with the diploma prior to doing the dissertation.

Any input or anecdotes would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
I'm working at an advanced level in A&E but do not yet have the MSc. I have done my prescribing at L7 and started my clinical assessment module but this was stopped by covid. I am hoping to restart soon. I have been working at this level for 6 yrs but colleagues who have more motivation and more time (less children) than me have completed theirs in about 2 yrs I think

I'm an ANP in scotland we only need pgdip here. I'm still trying to decide if I'll bother doing the dissertation module. Doubt I will. I don't plan on moving abroad though. Think if I was I would do the full MSc
