I work in consultancy and have been working with a firm since the beginning of this year. Contracts typically last for 6/7 months before being renewed or ended. So far, everyone I’ve started with has pretty much stayed apart from those who have chosen to move on - but nobody has been asked to leave (yet).
A few weeks ago, a few job offers came up at the firm (same role as current; just permanent and better salary) and I aswell as a few others applied for the role as it meant more money and job security. We all were interviewed individually and were told we would hear back in about a week about how successful our interview went.
Two days after the interview, one of my good friends was promoted that she had got the job. Two days after that and another colleague had been told she got the job also. The same day, I heard again someone had been prompted that they have got the job.
I haven’t been contacted at all; informally or formally about how my interview went and if I’m successful or not.
Were due to return to work after 2 weeks off and I’m now contemplating going back. I can understand if I wasn’t successful during my interview (although other team members heard my answers to the questions and many came to praise me after my interview with how well I answered. I have shown tremendous effort in this job and it has been noticed and acknowledged by management - this is one of the reasons why I had applied; as my ‘manager’ promoted me about the job openings and told me to make sure I apply as I’m much needed). Now I’ve done my interview and no feedback and no job offer.
