Reasonable adjustment

Hi
I was diagnosed with cancer two years ago and returned to work just over a year ago. When I returned I agreed with my manager that I could work mornings due to fatigue. This was agreed verbally.
Then another manager started and my shift pattern stayed the same. Now the assistant manager (who has always had a problem with my working pattern) is taking over from the manager as he is leaving.
I know that she will change my shifts as she has made bitchy comments in the past about me finishing early. I don’t have anything in writing so it’s just my word against there’s.

I am not an employment lawyer, but as I understand it by your hours persisting for such a long time they have become part of your terms and conditions and as such would require a consultation period for them to change.

OP do you have a department that deals with physical adjustments like sowciak chairs or assisting software?

You are covered by the Equality Act for life after cancer so they still have a duty to support you unless they can state a legitimate business reason not to.

You could also make an Adjustments passport that sets out what you have already and gives you the opportunity ro detail how you're impacted and anything further you need.

Well I’d be making a grievance about the bitchy comments about your hours. That’s called bullying and she’s on thin ice since it’s regarding a health condition.
