Job interview for my old job

I'm out of work after my temporary contract in a bakery came to an end. Before the bakery I worked a 4 month Christmas contract as an assistant in a shop. I actually enjoyed the work and the same position has come up in another shop for the same company. I've been invited to interview but the email is saying there will be an assessment on the shop floor.. part of me wants me to refuse to do the shop floor assessment to see if I'm good enough and just cancel the interview considering I've worked for the company recently for 4 months.. other part of me thinks just do it, I've done the job before so Il find it easy.

I'm thinking of cancelling the interview and not going as I've done the job before, if they ask me to do the shop floor tasks and then tell me Ive been unsuccessful my pride is going to be very hurt. I don't desperately need this interview as I also have 2 more interviews arranged with other companies. But IL be mortified if I'm told I'm not good enough to do my old job.

You need to swallow your pride and go through the process, especially if you really want the job.

The job you have applied for is at a different store to the one you worked at so the management there have no idea of your capabilities or skills.
