Anyone worked an Asda twilight shift? Got a concern about it

Hi, I’ve accepted a job at Asda for a twilight shift 4 times a week 9pm-2am

I was told it’s on the shop floor and generally stacking the shelves and things like that.

They wanted to train me through the day for my first week so I’ve done 4 10 hour shifts through the day and whole time all I’ve done is stacking shelves and tidying the isles.

I’m just worried that when I move to my twilight hours the role will change to something I’m not trained in and I’ll be in a warehouse or something which I don’t want to do.

So has anyone worked at Asda twilight hours and can tell me what it’s like

You are over thinking this. Why would they spend a whole week training you and then give you a role doing something different? That just wouldn't make sense.

Hi I have previously worked twilight in several supermarkets. All seem to follow the usual routine. When the shop closes you put the stock in the aisle in front of its location. Then you fill up the shelves. Checking dates!

Just a note of caution in all the twilight shifts I have worked I seemed to encounter a bullying manager. Please look after Yourself xxx

The night shifts I worked at supermarkets as a student were as above. Go in for 9.30pm, pull all cages from the night delivery out onto the shop floor by their relevant aisles, stick your headphones in and start stacking. Chuck the cardboard and plastic on the floor as you go (no customers after all!) and then about half 5 clear up ready for a 6am finish. We never did warehouse stocking overnight as far as I can remember, and actually it was team leaders/managers who brought the delivery in and/or organised any warehouse stock as they legally had responsibility over the stock coming in.
