Flexitime Advice

Hi

Im about to start a job that allows me to use flexi time I haven’t been in the office for a while so just needed some advice on how this works please ?

Im going to be doing 18 hours a week over mornings I can choose when I work so I was thinking of doing 9.30 to 1 Monday to Thursday then 9.30 to 1.30 Friday so if these are my core hours how early or late can I start or finish ?

I may be being stupid but not sure what youre asking!.

I work flexi full time, core hours are 10.30am-2.30pm, but I can start no earlier 6.30am and finish no later than 7.30pm.

Is that what you meant? , if so your employer should tell you what the companies parameters are.

Hi! It'll often depend on your work policy, I have flexi time at my work (so as long as we do core hours we can work when is good for both us and the business) so your line manager may help - mine is happy with me using flexi time to work when I want, as long as I'm not letting my work slip / attending important meetings etc. However if I work after 7am or before 8pm I think it is then it doesn't count towards flexi it goes to overtime, rather than the flexi balance. That should be somewhere in your new starters information 😊

Sorry I haven’t been very clear I mean would I have to choose core hours between 9.30 and 1.30 or because it’s only a few hours would these be fixed ?
