Civil Service Internal Transfer SMP

Hi!

Im currently working in the Civil Service and received a job offer for a different sector of the civil service. I also just found out I’m pregnant so I qualify for SMP where I am now but does anyone know if I will still qualify for SMP in the new sector? I’m not sure if Mat leave benefits can be internally transferred. Thanks!

Not sure what you mean by different sector. Do you mean to a NDPB?

If you work for a department to another you will be eligible for SMP as it is continuous service.

Im moving from a NDPH to an executive agency if that makes sense? Will that still be considered continuous service?
