Taking a paycut to leave a toxic workplace.

I am having to do this. And a longer commute. I know it's for the best as current workplace isn't working but i feel a bit gutted as cost of living will hit soon.

However, current workplace was destroying my confidence and i know i can work my way up in the new place.

Just wanted to wish you well. I’ve done this and the relief of leaving was worth the pay cut. You don’t have to stay in the lower paid job forever, but if you’d stayed in a miserable job that can undermine your confidence long term. So good on you for getting the new job. Good luck in your new role!
