I've asked my employer to increase my hours in my part time role as I've taken on extra work. They can only offer a few more hours a week.
The extra hours would be welcome but I may apply for an internal vacancy within the department and my boss may well find out.
I'm wondering whether to let my boss know if I decide to apply and then ask to hold off increasing my hours until I know if I've got an interview or the job. Otherwise it's going to be a bit confusing with contracts.
I don't mean to sound arrogant but I think I have a good chance of getting an interview.
