I have recently joined a local government type workplace. I wasn’t a member of a union in my previous workplace. A lot of the workforce here are members of an occupational specific union that isn’t relevant to me.
The main choice open to me is Unison or GMB. Both are recognised. Any experience or advice? I don’t know why but I feel a bit weird asking colleagues. I suppose I could ask the reps to ‘sell’ their union to me.
