On a conditional offer for weeks, HR queried sickness and all was COVID. Will they differ the conditional offer

No idea but Covid absence wasn't counted as sick leave in the NHS. So might be ok.

They have taken over 2 months just to queried the sickness. Even though they were told it’s was from long Covid. Can they decline the conditions offer?

I’d expect you’d get a call from occupational health. Maybe chase them?

Star24009 · 06/07/2022 07:08

Already met occu health and HR said that’s they haven’t made a decision yet they are still reviewing. Surely that’s discrimination against someone who had long term Covid.

No, I don’t think they can if it is due to covid, do they know this? I’ve just been s
thtough similar but my manager wrote on the reference that the sickness was due to long covid and investigations and it was accepted no questions asked. This was also nhs. How many days/episodes was it off?

Star24009 · 08/07/2022 07:01

Yes, they were told, I had Covid twice the first one was a long term sick and the second one was about 8 weeks as the doctor wanted to do some test and recommended for me not to go to work . The HR sept is making it very hard. Can they declined my conditional due to that?

If you are moving from outside nhs then nhs recruitment takes forever. My first nhs job I got offered in august and didn't start till end of Jan. it's better once your in their system. So it might just be that.

Star24009 · 08/07/2022 08:14

No it’s within NHS and they were querying about my sickness! They said they will need to look into this.

I’m moving within the nhs and had a long time off with covid as doctors wanted to run tests and pretty much told me not to do anything. It was never questioned and I’m just waiting for the CBR check to come through. I thought it is for the new manager to accept the references

I was told all covid related sickness did not count against your sickness record so I would think it would be OK.
