Hi all - looking for ideas how to maximise my earnings ‘

me - single mum , had to go out to work in a hurry when marriage ended. Ended up exec PA role locally (but wfh 99% of the time ) very flexible but am way under earning

two degrees , used to work in media (editing sphere but very niche )

i live in an area where salaries are low - how can o boost my earnings ? Am currently on 24k plus tax credits (which will go down as kids get older )

my PA role includes doing all service accounting, producing reports , facilitating numerous boards and managing various ad hoc projects , writing comms, updating website etc and all
usual stuff (for three c suites)

any ideas on how to earn more would be great ! No time or money to retrain !

remote PA?

thanks )

Can you start a self employed business sideline maybe? Could be anything from selling something you make, to dog walking, to doing beauty treatments

Wow would love to so beauty treatments but would I need to train?

I don’t have much time to walk my own dog Sadly ! Do it v early or late ! Thanks for posting !!

Have you asked for a pay rise? Or asked your current role for a scale of progression?

Yes you would need to train, and have insurance. By the time you have bought the stock to perform treatments you'll be more out of pocket than you are now! Obviously you can make it back but doing beauty treatments as a sideline will take a while before you actually make a profit.

Could you look at jobs similar to your existing and wfh but based in a higher paying location? I guess you might have to occasionally go in to an actual office though but could be factored in if the salary increase was enough. Or look into jobs linked to your previous career even if it required a step down to get back into it - might still pay what you're earning now with better future earning potential.
