My work were really, really nice to me today

I had a bit of a week last week

see here for my Monday trip to casualty

and here for my friday trip to casualty

And I had virtually no sleep on Saturday as DD was a ...er... pain

So today my team leader returned to work, she hadn't been in since Thursday

And basically she engineered it so I have been sent home on compassionate leave

"until your children are all better or at least you have had a rest"

So I don't have to got to work tomorrow, though I will probably drag my arse in on Thursday (I know, but I can't help it!)

No - tomorrow I have to take DS1 to hospital for 9.15 for a follow up xray.

After that though, all my littles will be in school or nursery, and I can't wait for some time in the house on my own (never happens)

There is nothing to say that I have to rush back on thursday either

I am just really touched that they offered me the time off / sent me home without me asking (and it isn't coming out of my leave)

I work for a multinational IT company, that usually just looks at the "bottom line" of the balance sheet

While the senior and middle management would never have done this for me, my immediate management have been stars!

take thursday for you. You might never get this chance again. Your team leader obviously thinks a lot of you so rake the chance to recharge your batteries then go back in to work and give them your best. Isn't it nice to be cared for?

Enjoy your time in the house alone it is bliss my dd4 goes all day weds and thurs and count the days that my dh is working them too --just to slop about watch crap and eat chocolate love it !!

I won't be slobbing - I will feel duty bound to try to rescue the pit that is my house from the wreck that it is.

But time without toddler, able to cook with two hands, hoover without interference, tidy..

Oh and nip off to bed for a couple of hours whenever I like

What a horrible week for you all.

It is hard to know when one is being "an anxious mother" and when there is something wrong. LO is due end Feb and I've decided that if i think there is something wrong with her, i will go to Dr or A & E.

I don't care if a Dr says i'm over anxious - i haven't had 7 years of med school and training so in doubt, i go for expert advice.

Also, i have heard Dr's say that NHS Direct isn't that good: The people on the other end just go through a checklist. It's IMPOSSIBLE to diagnose anything without observing the patient.
