New job offer and holidays

I have an interview tomorrow and have also just been approached by another company who are keen to interview me. This is all good except I am on 3 months notice, which they know, but if I handed my notice in in 2 weeks time for example I would be starting my new role and then going on a pre booked holiday 2 weeks after. What's the best way to play this, do I tell them at then interview stage? I am happy to delay handing my notice in and taking my holiday unpaid (I won't have the accrued holiday to have it as part of my notice) and then start the new role after but then this could delay my start date by 3 weeksish. Or I could be stressing over nothing and not get either role, or the offer comes so far in the future its not an issue!

tell them at your interview
they should ask anyway if you have leave booked

They tend to ask if you have any holidays booked, if they don't, just tell them so they know. It won't go against you.

I started a job and went on holiday within that month and it was fine.

That makes me feel better thank you.

In my last role I did a week, and then went off for two. Will you be able to accrue enough annual leave for the holiday before the end of the holiday year? You may need to take some unpaid if not.

Assuming we want the candidate (which if we've made an offer we do!) then we would discuss it when an offer is made, and choose an option that suited us both. Some roles wouldn't adapt well to starting and then going away very quickly afterwards, but would be fine starting later than the notice period. It would depend on the role and what managers and the candidate find best.

I am not sure when their holiday year is but taking unpaid isn't an issue
