Formal offer letter after verbal acceptance?

As the title says really, what would be an acceptable time frame between verbally accepting a role, and actually receiving HR paperwork? Thanks

Depends how the paperwork is getting to you, if it's an internal role i'd say probably within 24 hrs. If it's via Post allow for a few days. I work in HR and we are pretty on the ball with things like that. I suppose it depends on your company.

Thank you, it didn't occur to me that they'd send the paperwork via post. I shall wait a few more days, I was almost obsessively checking my inbox today. I'll give it a rest!
