various creche queries

I don't know where to begin with this, whether I want straightforward health advice or reassurance or what... I have been at home full time with my ds who is now nearly 22 months. Lately I've been feeling like it's a long winter ahead and I need more to occupy my time, so... I'm starting work on Monday, new type of work (technical writing for a software company.) Dh has been working there for years which is nice, I already know some of the people and we can commute together. I have also negotiated a four day week for the first three months to help ds with the transition to creche. The people are lovely and it is a great place but it is hard for me to let go and accept that other people can look after him! Also I worry about him getting sick and the more practical question I have is are there supplements or anything I can give him to protect against increased exposure to viruses? He had a slight cold (we've been going in the last few days to get him used to the place) and now he's on antibiotics for the first time ever! Would love to hear how other young toddlers adjusted and how long it took for them to enjoy it. Sorry for rambling, just have a lot on my mind!

Don't know if this is much help but I saw a programme on tv about vitamins. Said that it's scientifically proven that vitamin c will help you get over a cold more quickly. DP has put this into practice by drinking loads of oj when he caught a cold, I couldn't be bothered and he did seem to recover more quickly than me.

Dd is only 7 months but has been at nursery for 4 weeks now. Took 5 settling in sessions before she was happy, but loves it now.

Good luck!

Ta willowmum! Wish me luck everyone for Monday, he's still home sick today so it will be a long week for him...
