I work in Children's Services for a LA and have done so for 2 years. Recently I have found myself becoming disillusioned with my job - lack of progression, box ticking instead of meaningful work with families, high staff turnover within the team etc.
I have applied for a job within a different LA as a Leaving Care PA - I think it would be a good challenge for me and I am hopeful there may be better opportunities for progression. I am under no illusions that it won't be difficult though!
I'd really like to hear from other Leaving Care PAs about what you enjoy about the job, what you dislike about it, work/life balance, expectations, progression etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
